I’m Maria de la Iglesia, a photographer and picture editor working between the UK and Spain.

For over seventeen years I’ve worked professionally with images as a picture editor, researcher and photographer across editorial and commercial contexts like The Times, The Telegraph and Reuters. That background shapes the way I photograph spaces: I’m interested in light, atmosphere, composition and the small visual decisions that make a place feel considered.

My current photographic practice focuses on interiors, architecture, design-led homes, characterful buildings and premium property. I’m particularly drawn to spaces with texture, craft, natural materials, history, sustainability or a strong sense of place.

I work with interior designers, architects, property companies, editorial teams and independent businesses who need refined, thoughtful imagery for websites, press, portfolios and marketing.
